Free Skiing For Schools
The Tahoe Cross Country Ski Education Association is committed to providing free access to its teachers and students of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District.
Each season teachers and their students visit the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area for a day of skiing and fun. Typically teachers either use the TTUSD bus system or carpooling to bring students and volunteer help to and from the ski area. Arrival time is between 9:30am and 10:30am. Once participants arrive, they are outfitted with boots, skis and poles. Teachers and volunteers are responsible for guiding their students around the cross country trail system.
We ask that students bring a sack lunch with them. Picnic tables are made available to groups outside of the Day Lodge on the Tahoe Cross Country main deck. After lunch participants are welcome to ski again on the trails before handing in there equipment.
